1895: Incorporation of Company (Cameron & Sutherland) Store located at the Ballarat Railway Station Yard. Trade was directed mainly at the mining industry.

1931: Name changed to J.B. Cameron & Co. J.B.Cameron becomes the sole proprietor Store relocated, store: Market Square, Armstrong St Nth office: 105 Doveton St Nth. The main thrust of the business went from mining to Plumbing & Industrial Hardware.

1945: After the death of J.B.Cameron Mr Russell Brown becomes Managing Director.

1949: Store relocated to 105 Doveton St Nth with a bulk store in Creswick Rd.

1957: Store/office relocated to the current site at Cnr Armstrong St Sth & Eyre St.

1970: Store was enlarged and new loading bays built to facilitate the the movement of materials

1980: A new steel & service centre was established in Doveton St Sth backing onto the current store.

1985: Branch opened in Lake Road, Stawell helping to cement the company's position as a leading plumbing hardware supplier in Western Victoria.

1989: J.B.Cameron joins the Multi Merchant group of independently owned Plumbing and Hardware stores.

1990: Trade centre opened in Howitt St, Wendouree.

1995: Extensive store improvements to Trade & Retail Showroom in Armstrong St Sth.

1996: Wendouree store closed due to improved service from the Ballarat store.

1997: Camerons steel store takes on the Metaland Franchise and becomes known as Camerons Metaland. The Multi Merchants register the name Plumbing Plus with now over 130 stores in Australia & New Zealand trading under the new banner.

1999: Camerons Metaland builds a new office in order to further improve their service. J.B.Cameron (Victoria) Pty Ltd is one of the largest suppliers of Plumbing and Industrial hardware in Western Victoria.

1999: Camerons aquires Bendigo Discount Plumbing and begins trading in Bendigo as Camerons Plumbing & Hardware. Relocating to 120 Hattam St Golden Square in 2000

2004: Camerons Welding & Industrial Supplies commences trading at 124 Armstrong St Sth Ballarat
